Miller, surgeon with the Five Hills Health Region, knows new equipment makes a
“big difference” for patients.
“It’s
certainly safer for the patient,” he said. “That’s the important thing. If you
can alert your nurses to the time, if you’ve got a bed you can stay in
comfortably if you’re a person of size, if you’ve getting good sterilizing
procedures and your lab tests are fast and reliable, it’s all better for the
patient experience.”
As a health
care provider, he said it’s great to see members of the public supporting their
work by donating to the radiothon, allowing state-of-the-art equipment to be
added to the hospital.
