Kaia Isenor, 13, never expected to get selected for regionals or to win Miss Teen Moose Jaw.
She certainly didn’t expect to be picked to go to Miss Teen Canada in Toronto this summer.
“I was very surprised, even more surprised when I was chosen to go to nationals,” she said. “I’m very excited, but I’m also very nervous because there’s going to be a lot of girls there from all over Canada and a lot of older girls, so being 13’s pretty scary.”
Isenor, a student at Palliser Heights Elementary School, had always been intrigued by the Miss Teen Universe and Miss Teen Canada advertisements. However, seeing as the youngest age to enter the pageant is 13.
