Grade 12 Caronport High School student Sarina Kanakakeesic grew up on a fly-in reserve in Ontario located more than 2,570 kilometres away.

On Tuesday she shared a one-hour documentary offering a glimpse of life on Weegamow First Nation during Aboriginal Awareness Week in Caronport.

“It was busy and challenging,” said Kanakakeesic, who produced the project.
