Moose Jaw Times-Herald: Eighteen Moose Jaw cleaning workers to lose jobs

The provincial government announced Monday that cleaning at government buildings will be contracted out, affecting 230 jobs in the province.

Eighteen cleaning workers at government buildings in Moose Jaw will lose their jobs, as the provincial government will contract them out.


Across Saskatchewan, 230 people in 17 communities will be laid off by the end of June. The Saskatchewan government will privatize custodial work at 95 of its facilities. In Moose Jaw, cleaning workers at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Moose Jaw Equipment Repair Depot, W.G. Davies Building, Brigham Road Group Home and the Moose Jaw Court of Queen’s Bench will be affected.
