Moose Jaw Times-Herald: Worker safety sees improvement at the city

City of Moose Jaw receives one-time payment from Sask. WCB

Al Bromley is pleased with the city's improvements in worker safety, but there is still work to be done.

"If anyone gets hurt, it's too many people. So obviously the severity of the injuries is where we're seeing a dramatic improvement," said Bromley, director of human resources with the city.

"Our next challenge is to reduce the number of incidents as well. So we're not complacent. I think we need to be strident in ensuring our people are protected at work."

However, over the past few years, the city has implemented an improved claims management system.
