Bus users in the city will likely have to get used to another new schedule soon.

Executive committee voted in favour of amending Routes, 1, 2, 3 and 4 to provide service to the new regional hospital, seniors’ care home Bright Water in West Park, direct connection to Elk’s Field and service to New Rock and Caleb Village. All buses will run on a 40-minute schedule instead of a 30-minute schedule to accommodate the revised routes.

If ratified by council, the changes will come into effect on Oct. 5.

“The 40-minute service will run three buses every two hours, instead of four,” said Mark Sture, transit manager.
