Arena fire that destroyed the ice and roller-skating rink was six decades ago

Rob Clark remembers hearing stories about the Moose Jaw Arena from his father.

"He used to tell me how they used to sneak in under the seats. There was a hole in the wall or something. They used sneak in there, curl under there and watch the game under the seats," said Clark CEO of the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce. "He was a bit of a character."

Sixty years ago today, in the early hours of the morning, a fire started at the Moose Jaw Arena.
