Many rules and regulations exist for North American air shows, but there is always risk

Brian Swidrovich knows air shows can be dangerous.


"Some of the pilots will obviously try to push the limits of their aircraft to demonstrate what it can do, what it can accomplish in the air - whether it be a jet aircraft or civilian prop aircraft - and sometimes things just don't go the way they planned," said Swidrovich, who has been organizing air shows since 1995.


As the director of the Canada Remembers Our Heroes Air Show in Saskatoon, when he heard about the recent crash in the United Kingdom, he thought of the families of the people affected.
