Moose Jaw Times-Herald: Council sets monthly recycling fee

City worker Ne Doh pulls out a recycling cart on 12th
 Avenue Southwest on Sept. 30, 2015. The City of
Moose Jaw's curbside recycling program began on
Oct. 5, 2015. With the cart, there is also a brochure
explaining the program and a recycling calendar. For

Residents will pay $6.75 per month for curbside recycling.

"I'm assuming that everybody in Moose Jaw has had their blue bin delivered," said Coun. Heather Eby. "I think it's worthy to note that we actually are able to recycle glass bottles and jars now. We didn't think that we were going to be able to, so as long as you rinse those out, they are recyclable."

Other accepted items include paper, cardboard, aluminum, tin, plastic, aseptic packaging and cartons.
