The city is considering stopping participation in a program intended to revitalize historic downtowns.
At Monday's council meeting, councillors had one
item in the economic development commission (EDC) meeting minutes
requiring
approval from council. That item was a motion for the city to
discontinue participating in the Main Street Affiliate Program.
"The Main Street program needs to be driven from the community," said Mayor Deb Higgins.
