Prior to school division amalgamation that formed the Prairie South School Division (PSSD), Shawn Davidson had kids who went to school in Kincaid.

"Certainly the support services for students has been enhanced as a result of amalgamation and that was really a big part of what it was about," said Davidson, PSSD board chair. "We're in the education business. We better be about the kids."

In 2006, 71 school divisions in Saskatchewan amalgamated to become 14, thus creating 12 school divisions including PSSD. On Monday, Education Minister Don Morgan stopped by the PSSD office to celebrate the 10th anniversary of amalgamation.
