Gary Walsh travelled approximately 4,380 kilometers to come to the 2015 Saskatchewan Festival of Words (FOW).

“We organize a writers’ festival in Cabot Trail called Cabot Trail Writers Festival. We were looking for a place we could go to learn more about how to expand our festival,” he said.

“We checked with a bunch of different people – writers and other festivals – and asked them which ones they would recommend and this was always at the top of people’s lists.”

Coming from Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Walsh said the four-day festival – which ran from July 16 to 19 – impressed him, including the authors, the facilities and the personal nature of the festival.
