Mayor Deb Higgins can easily point to the most dangerous intersection in the city in terms of accidents - Main Street North and Thatcher Drive.

“This intersection has always been a concern and as the city gets busier, as traffic increases – especially in that area of the city – we need to make some changes for better flow of traffic and also for safety,” she said.

Changes will be coming to that intersection, as was decided at Monday’s executive committee meeting. Thatcher Drive will be widened for anyone heading west. There will be two turning lanes turning south onto Main Street.
