Matthias Harden, 14, has always wanted to be a programmer.

"It's really hard to find anything that's just like, 'Yeah, here it is. This is how you can program' because it's very complex," he said. "But when you're here, it's easy to teach that because you're right there."

This week, he had a chance to get some hands-on experience. He was one of the 20 participants of Saskatchewan Polytechnic's fifth annual Plan, Program, Play Computer Game Programming Workshop for high school students that ran from Wednesday to Friday. The workshop was filled to capacity.
