Budget committee meets in-camera for more than two hours before defeating a DFFH funding level motion

What was intended to be the budget finalization meeting turned out to result only in a defeated motion.

Budget committee met on Monday night following the executive committee meeting, marking the sixth budget committee meeting for the 2016 capital and operating budgets. They met in-camera for more than two hours before emerging out-of-camera at 10:41 p.m.

"There was one motion put out of camera and it was moved by Coun. Eby 'that the funding level for DFFH for 2016 be set at $729,034 with quarterly financial reporting to city council to be put in place immediately,'" said Myron Gulka-Tiechko, city clerk/solicitor.
