For the past two years, Allysia Meyer and her nine-year-old daughter Jessica have been growing out their hair to cut it for cancer.
"Back in '05 I lost my grandpa to prostate cancer and then just this year we lost our aunt to cancer. She just found out two months prior that she had lung cancer," said Meyer. "(She) went through chemo and that just made it even more special that we were cutting our hair because she was starting to lose her hair and then this Christmas, she got pneumonia and passed away."
However, that didn't lessen the resolve for the mother-daughter duo to continue with their plan.
