Moose Jaw Times-Herald: Building permits for new homes see spike

August building permits have more new dwellings, but overall fewer permits

Building permits for six new homes were issued in the city last month.        
  
The six permits have a combined value of $2.22 million. This is double the amount of permits from 2014 and more than double the value. In August 2014, the city issued three permits for new dwellings valued at $657,255.

From Jan. 1 to Aug. 31, the city has issued 32 permits for new dwellings valued at $9.72 million. In the same time period in 2014, the city issued 62 permits for new dwellings, valued at $17.64 million.
