The city will be increasing awareness and enforcement of the dog bylaw.
Kelly Mentanko, operations manager for the Parks and Recreation department with the city, said because of email and verbal
complaints to the city, the local bylaw enforcement officer and the Moose Jaw Police Service will work together to educate
and enforce the bylaw prohibiting dogs from certain areas in the city.
“We’re not in a situation where we’re going to
start ticketing everybody. It’s just that we want to provide the
awareness,”
said Mentanko.
