Christine Simpson believes it's important for kids to understand the value of Remembrance Day.

"Our children, they need to know the history of our Canadian heroes and what's going on in Afghanistan and what happens in the Balkans," said Simpson, poppy chairperson with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 59 Moose Jaw.
