Drivers are going to have to slow down on Thatcher Drive.
At Monday’s council meeting, the majority of councillors approved installing pedestrian crosswalk marking on the road surface at the pathway crossing Thatcher Drive at Fourth Avenue Northwest as well as putting in place early warning signs to alert drivers.
The existing 60 kilometers/hour (km/hr) posted speed limit signs on both sides of Thatcher Drive will be replaced with 50 km/hr speed limit signs from Main Street to Ninth Avenue Northwest.
