Moose Jaw Times-Herald: New engineering director’s infrastructure experience a benefit

Higgins says it’ll take “a while to catch up” on infrastructure

Mayor Deb Higgins said it’s a “long-time coming” for a new director of engineering services.

“We all know that infrastructure is a huge issue here in the City of Moose Jaw, not only building out for new development but also rebuilding aging infrastructure within the core and older areas of the city,” said Higgins. “You know it’s a real challenge and to be able to have someone with (Tyron) Stokes’ experience come to the City of Moose Jaw I think is a plus for sure.”

She added the amount of resources, money available and where the money is committed is still central to infrastructure projects.
