Moose Jaw Times-Herald: Sharing writing to help youth writers grow

Teen and pre-teen writers have a chance to talk about their work each month.

Every month the writer’s circle takes place at the Moose Jaw Public Library for youths aged 10 to 18.

“The library isn’t just about reading other people’s books,” said assistant head librarian Laura Shtern. “It’s really important to help burgeoning writers foster their own voice.”

The group meets once a month on Wednesday evenings year-round and in the summer they also meet on a Saturday afternoon per month. Beginning in September the group will continue to meet only one Wednesday per month again.
