Jaw as one of five Canadian cities to participate in voting contest
By Lisa Goudy
Moose Jaw is one of five Canadian cities selected to compete to host a concert featuring Grammy Award winner Meghan Trainor.
The inaugural Air Miles Detour program, which launched on
Tuesday, is a national campaign to reward one community with a
performance by Trainor. Moose Jaw, Morin-Heights, Que., Mulmur, Ont.,
Nelson, B.C. and Port Hawkesbury, N.S. were the communities chosen to
compete for votes.
“It's really celebrating local
music scenes and music history in each city. Each of the five cities
were chosen because they're different and they bring something unique to
the Canadian music landscape,” said Kate Bruce, tour manager for Air
Miles Detour in Moose Jaw.
