At last week's council meeting, Coun. Brian Swanson requested a re-vote on the proposed narrow street parking restrictions.
The proposal was to restrict parking to one side of the road for roads with a pavement width of less than 11.0 meters curb-to-curb with the restriction on the same side as the fire hydrant. Those restrictions would be in the area encompassed by Ninth Avenue Northwest, Wolfe Avenue, Laurier Street, Caribou Street West, Caribou Street East, Sixth Avenue Northeast and Club Street.
There was also a proposition for the city to issue one parking permit per household for all homes with an address for a one-year trial period to start in May in the area encompassed by Caribou Street, Laurier Street, Ninth Avenue Northwest and Henleaze Avenue.
