With the passing of the local improvement program (LIP) construction bylaw, work can now begin on replacing cast iron pipes in the city.
At a special
meeting of city council held in council chambers, the majority of council
approved the cast iron water main construction bylaw on Monday. Council
chambers were filled with standing room only with concerned residents.
Prior to the
beginning of the meeting, which also saw the approval of a property tax bylaw,
Coun. Don Mitchell raised a point of order.
