As temperatures soared to 20 Celsius
on Saturday, golfers flocked to Lynbrook Golf Course.
The
driving range opened on Friday and the course opened for the season on
Saturday, with the back nine opening in the morning tee-to-green and the front
nine in the afternoon, tee-to-green.
“It’s
very early,” said Dwight Bearchell, Lynbrook pro shop manager. “We ordinarily
open on April 1 as a rule, but basically for memberships because usually
there’s snow on the ground.”
