Combine CFL culture with Saskatchewan Roughrider culture with superhero culture and the result is Saskatch-a-man.
Created by
comic writer Mark Allard-Will and comic illustrator Elaine M. Will,
Saskatch-a-man is the first time the Saskatoon-based comic team collaborated on
a comic, but the idea initially began as a joke.
“We wanted to
make a parody of the Roughriders’ fan culture and how they have essentially
merchandise for everything,” said Allard-Will. “We wanted to kind of create a
friendly and inclusive comic of that kind of culture, if you will.”
