The biggest surprise of the 2016 provincial
election for Mayor Deb Higgins was the voter turnout.
According
to Elections Saskatchewan, voter turnout was reported to be 56.8 per cent in
the province.
“It’s
kind of disappointing because I know I’ve always viewed it as a responsibility
to get out and vote, to select whom we feel is the best person to represent us,”
said Higgins.
