Earth Day, which was Friday, is one of those days that should happen more than once a year.
Did you know
that oxygen-starved dead zones that can’t sustain life now cover an area about
the size of the state of Oregon? Did you also know that only one per cent of
China’s 560 million city residents breathe air the European Union considers
safe? I found these facts on the WebEcoist website.
We can’t deny
that the climate is changing. Seasons seem to be shifted and in some places,
more extreme weather is becoming more common. Not doing something about it
won’t solve anything. It won’t do anything.
The Earth has to be respected. We need to protect it.
