Calvin Vollrath loves to fiddle because of his audiences.
“I like playing for the people. I like making people happy,” he said. “It’s not just notes that we play. We play with lots
of emotion and we bring back memories for people.”
It’s been 25 years since Vollrath, a fiddler from St. Paul, Alta., started playing with Freddie and Sheila Pelletier, who
are a couple and music duo from Birch Hills, Sask.
