At Tuesday’s regular council meeting, council unanimously approved five decisions of the development appeals board for residential variances to the Bylaw No. 5346, the zoning bylaw, that were discussed at the Aug. 21 meeting of the board.

Four of those decisions were from applicants on Coteau Street West, Hawthorne Crescent, Athabasca Street West and Everton Crescent and those requests were all approved.

Council unanimously approved the board’s decision to deny the fifth applicant’s request from Iron Bridge Drive. The applicant wanted to receive approval to construct a detached building in conjunction with the single detached dwelling in Iron Bridge. However, the variance was a large exception and so it was denied.
