Moose Jaw Times-Herald: What to know about water pipes

Residents will have no warning signs if their pipes are going to freeze or burst.

“It just happens,” said Randy Borsa, acting manager of engineering with the City of Moose Jaw.

“Sometimes it’s not under the ground itself. It’s in the house and just because they don’t have heat in the right areas and it all depends on if it’s external and in the ground it’s going to depend on your weather.”

When water expands, pipes can break.
