As head of the diagnostic imaging department in the Five Hills Health Region, Dr. Awie du Toit understands the importance of Moose Jaw's new MRI machine.
"It will truly enhance the capabilities or the ability of the diagnostic imaging department to expedite diagnosis and obviously expedite management and care of the patients," he said. "It is a huge opportunity for us. It is a proud moment for us."
On Thursday, the Five Hills Health Region (FHHR) held the official opening of the new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine in the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw to serve the community and surrounding rural areas. It is the first MRI located outside of Regina and Saskatoon.
