Because of work at Buffalo Pound Water
Treatment Plant (BPWTP), some rural water customers are under a precautionary
drinking water advisory (PDWA).
The
Saskatchewan Water Security Agency (WSA) issued a PDWA effective 7 a.m.
Wednesday morning. The BPWTP will undergo a series of capital upgrades that
require plant shut downs during each phase.
“They
planned to do a scheduled shutdown and I believe they’re doing some maintenance
and upgrades there, “said Patrick Boyle, spokesperson with the WSA.
