If Martin Luther King Jr. were alive, today would've been his 87th birthday, but had he not lived, the world would be drastically different.
King, born on Jan. 15, 1929, received the Nobel Peace Prize on Dec.
10, 1964 for his work on civil rights. At only 35 years of age, he was
then the youngest recipient of the prize.
In 1954, the Supreme Court struck down segregation. In August 1963,
King delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech on the steps of the
Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. in August 1963.
