Christina Goudy is still haunted by her cousin’s rape and murder 20
years ago.
“It was devastating. It just made me think, ‘It’s been 20 years and it’s
still affecting me really bad,’” she said. “Oct. 26 every year, it’s just bad
for everybody. I hope nobody ever has to go through something like that. It’s
the worst thing ever.”
On Oct. 26, 1996, Goudy’s cousin, 14-year-old Darrelle Exner, left a
restaurant in Regina and was walking home alone when she was raped and
murdered.
Goudy was 17 years old when it happened.
