App camp is “better
than watching TV,” says participant

Playing app and sports games in person is different than playing on a smartphone.
“It’s very fun. (Our camp instructor)
built a big tower of boxes and balloons and a big game ball. So for
Angry Birds we tried
a yoga band (to launch the balls) but it didn’t work,” said Jude
Tysdal at YaraCentre’s App-solutely Awesome Day Camp on Thursday.
“So we just had to throw the balls as hard as we could and played lots of sports. It’s better than watching TV.”
Thursday was the third day of the four-day app camp for kids aged eight to 13. Featured activities were life-size applications
from iPhones.
