Winning a young entrepreneur award is the reason Joel Pinel’s company has a digital department.

“It was a voting game and then from that, we had people come to us and say, ‘Oh, your video. It’s awesome,’” said Pinel, CEO of WOW Factor Media, a print media design and marketing firm established in Moose Jaw in 2009 that now has branches in Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg.

“We ran our social media. It’s great. So now we have a full digital department in our business because of that. There’s a direct spinoff of it.”
