By Lisa Goudy

Scott Bradford can’t wait to bring his seven-month-old daughter to this year’s Santa Claus Parade.

“She’ll be there this year and hopefully next year and the year after that and it continues on. I think it’s something that everybody wants to take their family to,” he said. “It’s extremely important to keep the tradition alive for the families and the kids in Moose Jaw.”

Moose Jaw Times-Herald: Lisa's Corner: Taking down our walls

By Lisa Goudy

Nov. 9, 1989 was a big date in history. It marked the moment the Berlin Wall came down.

That is, after all, the year the 420-seat Mae Wilson Theatre at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre (MJCC) turns 100 years old.

“Some of you have likely been to a show in the theatre and experienced its beauty, which was restored to its original glory when it was opened as the Allen Theatre in 1916,” said Higgins, marketing co-ordinator with the MJCC.
