Moose Jaw and District EMS advanced care paramedic Mike Slater’s days at work typically start the same way.

There’s a brief meeting in the morning with the outgoing crew for the shift changeover. From there, the paramedics’ work includes ensuring preparedness of emergency vehicles such as checking oil, lights and equipment and making sure everything is cleaned and sterilized.
