Twenty-five-year time capsule opened
By Lisa Goudy
If it weren’t for his grandmother’s scrapbook, Sean Gurnsey
wouldn’t have returned to William Grayson School to open a time capsule from 25
years ago.
“My grandma actually found the newspaper clipping from 1992,” said Gurnsey, who was one of the seven students involved in putting the 25-year time capsule together in 1992. “She was going through stuff and said, ‘Hey, do you realize you’re supposed to open it this year?’ I sent out the request on Facebook and got swarmed by how many people already knew about it.”
Friday, he was one of more than 50 student alumni who returned
to the school to open the time capsule.
