The sun shines overhead as we board the trolley.
I take my seat in the front row behind the driver. There aren’t many
empty seats as we depart from Tourism Moose Jaw. Our driver rings the
bell.
“We’re known as the Friendly City and because of that people love to wave at the
trolley,” says our tour guide, Jasmine Dalgarno. “Feel free to wave at whoever’s waving at you because we’re basically celebrities on this trolley.”
This turns out to be true. During the one-hour trolley ride, many people wave at us. We wave back to smiling faces.
Near the beginning of the tour, Dalgarno asks where everyone is from. Someone says they’re from Montreal. Others say Saskatoon and Rosetown.
