Eleven months ago, Matthew Gray had feces and toilet paper in his basement bathtub and in his kids’ rooms.

“Since our home was damaged in September 2014, my wife and I are unable to sleep during evening rainfall events,” he said. “We are unable to leave our home on vacation without some worry about what the weather will be like while we are gone.”

As a resident living on the 200 block of Wood Lily Drive, Gray was one of the residents affected by the sewer backups. Basement flooding in the subdivision first showed up during severe rainstorms in June 2014, September 2014 and July 2015.
