It’s one thing to hear a piano and cello recital. It’s another when the cellist is performing on an $11-million instrument.
On Monday, Canadian cellist Arnold Choi and pianist Samuel Deason will collaborate for a concert at Zion United Church. Choi will be playing on the 1692 Bonjour Stradivarius cello, valued at $11 million.
“What’s a rare thing about the concert is the fact that he’s playing on one of the nicest cellos in the world,” said Deason, who was born in Saskatoon.
