Cupcake Day raises money for Sask. SPCA

It was a day of cupcakes, but it was also a day for animals.

Carol Wittman, owner of CW Communications, and the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce sold cupcakes on National Cupcake Day, which was Monday. Along with Heather Bergdahl, the two women made 360 cupcakes for Monday's sale and each of them were individually decorated.

"(It was) to raise proceeds for humane societies and SPCAs across Canada. Societies had to register to be participating and there were two registered in Saskatchewan, the Regina Humane Society and the Saskatchewan SPCA," said Wittman.
