For Kelly
McElree, the Family First Radiothon is always about family.
“We’re
grateful for the support we do get. Every dollar counts. Oftentimes people
share the reasons why they make those donations. They’re very personal
donations,” said McElree, executive director of the Moose Jaw Health Foundation
(MJHF).
“They’ve had
that one special nurse that gave them attention to help them through a very
difficult time in their life or they’re very grateful for the facilities in
physio or kidney dialysis and people really want to pay tribute to that and to
those people who have helped them through very, very difficult times.
“Part of the
magic of the radiothon is people get to hear those stories.”
Running 36
hours from 6 a.m., on Thursday to 6 p.m., on Friday, the 10th annual
CHAB Family First Radiothon will be held at a new location this year.
