The cultural
diversity committee had three recommended initiatives for anti-racism and
discrimination in the city.
“In March
2011, the City of Moose Jaw joined the Canadian Coalition of Municipalities
Against Racism and Discrimination (CCMARD), which is part of a larger
international coalition being promoted by UNESCO,” said Dalise Hector, member
of the committee.
“The coalition
launched in March 2004 by UNESCO consists of networks of cities interested in
sharing their experiences to improve their policies against racism,
discrimination, exclusion and intolerance.”
