The city’s
boundaries are possibly going to be altered.
At Monday’s
meeting, executive committee considered a report from Michelle Sanson, director
of planning and development, regarding the requested execution of the Voluntary
Alteration of Boundaries Agreement with the Rural Municipality of Moose Jaw No.
161 to change the city’s boundaries.
“We’ve had
developers interested in the land surrounding the city sewage lagoons and they
require water and sewer, so we are looking at the land that is just adjacent to
the city there,” said Sanson. “Admin has briefed council previously on this
issue and nothing has changed since that point, but we have prepared the
agreement.”
