Andrew Pyper is a master of inciting fear in his supernatural thriller books, so long as he doesn't run into zombies.
"In the more mythical sense, I'm really scared by zombies and I know they're everywhere right now. They're kind of the monster du jour," he said while sitting in Crescent Park on Saturday afternoon.
"The idea of people being transformed slowly - I'm of the slow zombie school, not the fast zombie - because it's the idea of, 'Here they come' and the relentless of these lurching, undead things. They're terrifying."
