Standing on the landing on the staircase looking up to the second floor, Don Jones recalled time spent in the century-old home.
“I was raised here,” he said of the building at 106 Athabasca St. E. “This house was where my mom and dad raised the five kids – four girls and me.”
The family outgrew the suite and moved out, but the building has been in the family for many years. In fact, in March 2015, the W.J. Jones and Son Funeral Home will celebrate its 75th anniversary.
